Tom Holland Reveals Why He Gets a New Spider-Man Suit Every Two Weeks

Hollywood superstar Tom Holland has revealed a surprising detail about his role as Spider-Man: he receives a brand-new Spider-Man suit approximately every two weeks while filming the superhero franchise.

Tom Holland on His Frequent Spider-Man Suit Changes

In an exclusive interview with Esquire, Holland shared insights into the production of the upcoming Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

“Yeah, it definitely does. I probably get a new suit every two weeks, I reckon,” Holland said, reflecting on the frequent suit changes. He began filming the highly anticipated fourth installment in the Spider-Man series in August 2025.

This practice ensures that each Spider-Man appearance looks fresh on screen, maintaining the high visual standards of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

Spider-Man: Brand New Day – Cast and Filming Updates

Sony Pictures, alongside Holland, officially announced the next Spider-Man movie Brand New Day at CinemaCon 2025 in April. This announcement came after Holland confirmed that filming for the fourth Spider-Man movie would begin in 2025.

Holland and his fiancee, Zendaya, who reprises her role as MJ (Michelle Jones), were spotted filming on location in London in early August. Holland also shared a sneak peek of his first day of filming in Scotland via Instagram on August 10.

Other returning cast members include Jacob Batalon and Jon Favreau, alongside new faces such as Liza Colón-Zayas (The Bear), Sadie Sink (Stranger Things), Mark Ruffalo, Michael Mando, and Jon Bernthal, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The film is scheduled to release in theaters on July 31, 2026.

Tom Holland’s Journey to Hollywood Stardom

Tom Holland began acting at the age of nine when he joined a dance class. A choreographer recognized his talent and encouraged him to audition for Billy Elliot the Musical at London’s Victoria Palace Theatre.

After two years of training, Holland earned a supporting role in 2008, which was soon upgraded to the lead role. He played Billy Elliot until 2010.

Holland transitioned to film with his debut in the disaster drama The Impossible (2012), portraying a teenager trapped in a tsunami. He later appeared in How I Live Now, and took on historical roles in In the Heart of the Sea and the miniseries Wolf Hall before fully committing to a Hollywood career.

Why Fans Love Tom Holland as Spider-Man

Holland has been a fan favorite in the MCU since his debut in Captain America: Civil War (2016). His authentic portrayal of Peter Parker, combined with his dedication on set—including the frequent suit changes—makes him one of the most relatable and beloved actors to play the iconic superhero.

Fans eagerly await Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which promises to bring fresh stories, new characters, and plenty of action-packed sequences.
