Southwest / Art: Photography by Ron Clemons

January 17 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm UTC+0

Caracole Inc., the HIV/AIDS services organization in Southwest Ohio, will host the photographs of Ron Clemons in its main hall for the next few months. Visit our space on Thursday, Jan. 17 and get a chance to meet the artist.

Nibbles and wine provided.

Clemons has photographed professionally for the past 16 years. He has had shows at Findlay Market, Below Zero Lounge, Starbucks and Essex Studios. He has been fortunate to have his works selected for the DIA International Exhibit sponsored by the Center of Fine Art Photography. His artwork has been used to raise money for nonprofits such as The Drop Inn Center, CCAT and Caracole.

His images have been used in book cover designs for local authors Doug Cooper Spencer and the late Dennis Carlson.

In addition to the exhibit at Caracole, Clemons is also part of the exhibit, “Manifestations of Time: The Black Experience,” sponsored by Mohawk Galleries, beginning Jan. 25.

He believes photography reminds us that we are surrounded by beauty. Our task is to find the angle and perspective that invites that beauty into the framework of our spirit.
