PFLAG, founded in 1972 by the mom of a gay son, is the extended family of the LGBTQ community. The national organization with 200 chapters is made up of LGBTQ individuals, family members and allies. The Akron PFLAG chapter meets on the third Thursday of every month.

We are moms from all walks of life with LGBTQ kids, young and old. We meet together on the first Monday of each month for dinner, conversation and community.
