Plexus advocates for equality and diversity while offering networking and education opportunities for LGBTQ professionals.

Plexus, the LGBT and allied Chamber of Commerce in Northeast Ohio, is seeking its first full-time executive director.

“This person will lead us into a new chapter of evolution and growth as we continue to work with the business community to advance economic equity and workplace diversity and inclusion,” the group said in advertising the post.

The executive director will work to grow the group’s membership, develop its programs and advocate for its issues. See the full job description here.

Plexus was founded in 2006 and acts as a resource to connect business professionals in Northeast Ohio. It offers educational programs for members, hosts networking opportunities, advocates for equality and diversity in the workplace, and works to expand the economic interests of LGBTQ and allied businesses.

A Toledo native and graduate of Toledo Public Schools, Bob has worked as a local government and politics reporter for The Columbus Dispatch, as a Washington correspondent for Thomson Newspapers and as editor-in-chief for Outlook Ohio. He has a bachelor's degree in journalism and political science from Ball State University and a master's degree in public affairs reporting from the University of Illinois-Springfield.
