More than 60 LGBTQ groups in Ohio can benefit from your online shopping this holiday season.

If you select one of them on your Amazon account, the online retailer will donate 0.5 percent of the amount you spend through its AmazonSmile program. Amazon says it has given out more than $105 million to more than 1 million charities.

Here are the Ohio groups we found that serve the LGBTQ community. If you want to register your organization in AmazonSmile, get details here. If we missed your organization, let us know so we can add it to our list.

STATEWIDE 

Buckeye Region Anti-Violence Organization: BRAVO operates statewide in Ohio and works to eliminate violence in the lives of LGBTQ people. BRAVO’s primary areas of focus include hate crimes, domestic violence and sexual assaults. BRAVO provides support for survivors, education for the community and advocacy on behalf of any person who has experienced violence. 

Equality Ohio Education Fund: Equality Ohio advocates and educates to achieve fair treatment and equal opportunity for all Ohioans regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity or expression. 

Equitas Health: The Equitas Health mission is to be the gateway to good health for those at risk of or affected by HIV/AIDS, for the LGBTQ community and for those seeking a welcoming healthcare home. 

TransOhio: Serves the Ohio transgender and ally communities by providing services, education, support and advocacy that promotes and improves the health, safety and life experience of the Ohio transgender individual and community.  

AKRON 

CANAPI (listed as Community AIDS Network): Community AIDS Network’s/Akron Pride Initiative’s mission is toprevent further transmission of HIV through education and risk reduction efforts and to provide housing assistance and other supportive services to people already affected by HIV. 

PFLAG Akron: PFLAG envisions a world where diversity is celebrated and all people are respected, valued, and affirmed, inclusive of their sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression. 

ATHENS 

Southeast Ohio LGBTQ Center: Its goal is to provide full and comprehensive support and service to the LGBTQ+ community in Southeast Ohio.  

CINCINNATI 

Caracole Inc.: Caracole’s mission is to reduce the impact of HIV/AIDS through housing, care and prevention. Founded in 1987, Caracole House was the first licensed adult care facility in Ohio for people living with HIV/AIDS. Today, Caracole serves more than 1,500 clients living in an eight-county region in Southwest Ohio with six primary programs. 

Cincinnati Men’s Chorus (listed as Queen City Performing Arts Organization Inc.): Through our music, we strive for excellence; support and nurture our members; entertain our audiences; and work for justice, inclusion and harmony between the gay community and the community at large. 

Cincinnati Pride: Cincinnati Pride, Inc. was organized to celebrate and educate the public about the rich historical and cultural legacy of LGBT people, and to instill pride in the Members of the LGBT community in their identity.  

Imperial Sovereign Queen City Court of the Buckeye Empire Inc: To raise funds for contribution to and in support of any and all charitable [minimum 501(c)(3)] causes upon suggestion of the reigning monarchs and approval of the board of directors. To represent the LGBT communities, and all concerned individuals, in support of community functions. To create recreational, charitable and cultural activities. 

Living With Change Foundation: The Living With Change Organization is 501c3 nonprofit dedicated to supporting transgender youth and their families by providing education, resources, advocacy and support while fostering confidence and acceptance through change. 

MUSE, Cincinnati Women’s Choir: Muse is an inclusive and feminist choral community advocating for peace and social justice. We unite our voices to raise awareness and inspire change in ourselves, our audiences and our world through partnerships that honor the humanity and enduring spirit of all people. 

Ohio Lesbian Archives: Collects and preserves books, periodicals, papers, manuscripts and organizational archives related to lesbian and LGBTQ history and community in the greater Cincinnati area and the surrounding region. The organization hosts public educational events such as talks, discussions, workshops and film screenings related to LGBTQ and lesbian issues.  

PFLAG Cincinnati: PFLAG envisions a world where diversity is celebrated and all people are respected, valued, and affirmed, inclusive of their sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression. 

Proud Scholars: Our mission is to promote a diverse workforce by providing educational services to students within the LGBT community by partnering with organizations that value respect, diversity and inclusion. We provide students with volunteering programs, mentoring and social services, corporate internships, and scholarships throughout their college experience to help them build a sustainable future. 

CLEVELAND 

AIDS Taskforce of Greater Cleveland: The AIDS Taskforce of Greater Cleveland provides a compassionate and collaborative response to the needs of people infected, affected and at risk of HIV/AIDS. This is accomplished through leadership in prevention, education, supportive services and advocacy. 

B Riley Sober House: The B. Riley Sober home is an LGBTQ+ sober living facility in Cleveland. We provide all members of the LGBTQ+ community and our allies a temporary, safe, affirming, recovery orientated living space. We offer alcohol and drug treatment services, mental health assessment and treatment, as well as psychotherapy through our outside partnerships to help each individual along his, her or their journey into long-term recovery from substance abuse issues. 

Blazing River Arts Group Inc: The Blazing River Freedom Band is a diverse group of musicians who gather to develop our musicianship skills and perform for LGBT and other events. Members have a wide range of skills and talents including those who hadn’t played for years! Our mission is dedicated to the promotion of music as a medium of communication amongst the people, while improving the quality of artistry and musicianship of our members. 

The Diversity Center of Northeast Ohio: The Diversity Center is a human relations organization that works to eliminate the polarizing effects of bias, bigotry and racism that create environments of fear, distrust and hate. Our vision is to create strong and vibrant communities that promote high-quality education for all youth, a spirit of inclusion that champions individuals and their strengths, and a diverse and productive workforce to support economic development in Northeast Ohio. 

LGBT Community Center of Greater Cleveland (listed as Lesbian-Gay Community Service Center of Greater Cleveland): To enrich the lives of the diverse LGBTQ community through advocacy, support, education and celebration. 

May Dugan Center (listed as Near West Side Multi Service Corporation): To help people enrich and advance their lives and communities. 

North Coast Men’s Chorus: The North Coast Men’s Chorus is a community-based musical organization which affirms the gay experience by presenting entertaining, quality performances for diverse audiences; providing a supportive environment for its members; and promoting a positive presence in the gay community and beyond. 

The Open and Affirming Coalition of the United Church of Christ: Provide support and sanctuary for all lesbian, gay bisexual and transgender individuals, their families and friends. Advocate for full inclusion of all people in church and society and promote Christ’s affirming message of love and justice for all. 

PFLAG Cleveland: The Vision of PFLAG-National, shared by PFLAG-Cleveland: We, the parents, families and friends of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered persons, celebrate diversity and envision a society that embraces everyone, including those of diverse sexual orientations and gender identities. Only with respect, dignity and equality for all will we reach our full potential as human beings, individually and collectively.

COLUMBUS 

Arts & College Preparatory Academy: We have a climate and culture that is based on a trailblazing arts and college preparatory curriculum in an environment that safe, inclusive and progressive. The vision of ACPA is to sustain a progressive teaching and learning culture that thrives on safety, acceptance and inclusion, rigorous academics, a commitment to the arts, and college preparedness. 

Capital Pride Band: Our mission is to create quality musical and social experiences for our members and community through a variety of performances. We provide an open, inclusive and fun atmosphere while promoting the joy of music, friendship, and personal growth. 

Columbus Coyotes Rugby Football ClubThe Columbus Coyotes Rugby Football Club is a registered 501c3 nonprofit fighting homophobia and stereotypes in contact sports through the game of rugby. 

Columbus Gay Men’s Chorus: “Voices Raised, Lives Changed.” The Columbus Gay Men’s Chorus was formed in 1990 and maintains the vision of its founding members to foster increased recognition, understanding and acceptance of LGBTQ+ people. 

Columbus Lesbian & Gay Softball Association (listed as Columbus Softball Association): Civil betterment and improved social welfare of the LGBT community. 

Columbus Ohio Gay Lesbian Ally Hockey Association: An organization representing GLBT/friendly hockey teams, fans and players in the Central Ohio and Columbus area. Hate has no place on the ice. 

The Columbus Women’s ChorusThe mission of The Columbus Women’s Chorus is to foster excellence and innovation in the performance and presentation of women’s music; and, through our community of voices, to entertain and educate our audiences, enrich and enlighten minds and spirits, encourage societal change, and open hearts to diversity. 

Evolution Theatre Inc.: Provides a supportive, encouraging environment for celebrating the artistic vision of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, intersex and ally individuals; advancing the understanding of gender issues; and fostering the expression of creative performance arts by and about the LGBTQQIA community.  

Family Pride Network of Central Ohio: Family Pride Network of Central Ohio is an organization whose purpose is to connect, educate and support LGBTQ families. 

Huckleberry HouseFor more than 40 years, Huckleberry House has been the primary provider of shelter and services to runaway, homeless and at-risk youth in Franklin county. Through crisis services, family and individual counseling, community outreach and independent living skills training, we make sure every teen has a safe home environment. 

Imagine Productions of Columbus: Imagine Productions of Columbus is a nonprofit community theatrical troupe committed to entertaining and educating community stakeholders in the Columbus metro area through performing arts. We believe in inclusiveness, openness and tolerance, and recognize that empowerment and growth occur with audiences and performers alike. Our mission is to provide entertaining productions, give opportunities for personal growth, give back and support the community around us.  

Kaleidoscope Youth Center: Kaleidoscope Youth Center works in partnership with young people in Central Ohio to create safe and empowering environments for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning and ally youth through advocacy, education, support and community engagement. 

Ohio SplashOhio Splash is a U.S. Masters swim team open to all and committed to fostering national and international competition for amateur athletes. Since 1997, the team has grown from six swimmers to a roster of more than 100 members.  

PFLAG Columbus: PFLAG envisions a world where diversity is celebrated and all people are respected, valued and affirmed, inclusive of their sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression.

DAYTON 

Dayton Gay Men’s Chorus: We sing to inspire, encourage, and sustain excellence in the choral arts and to achieve a gay-affirming presence in the greater Miami Valley. 

Gatlyn Dame Group: The mission of the Gatlyn Dame Group is to raise awareness and provide education and an outlet for transgender people and nonconforming gender identity people and their allies. 

Greater Dayton LGBT Center (listed as Dayton Lesbian and Gay Center): The mission of the Greater Dayton LGBT Center is to help create programs that enhance the lives of sexual minorities in Dayton and the Miami Valley. 

Have a Gay Day: Designed initially as a happy space on social media, Have a Gay Day became an organization and started growing our reach into real world situations. Our goal is to give back, create a safe place and space, and in time take over the world with hope and with a positive impact for a better tomorrow.  

PFLAG Dayton: To promote the health and well-being of LGBT people, their families and friends through support, education and advocacy. 

Rainbow Elder Care of Greater Dayton: Our mission is to provide advocacy, educational resources, support and referral services to the elder LGBT community and straight allies in the Greater Dayton area in ways that affirmatively address their unique needs and enhance their quality of life. 

Rubi Girls: The organization’s primary exempt purpose is to support charitable, educational and community activities to promote research, education and awareness of HIV, AIDS and other diseases. 

FINDLAY 

Spectrum of Findlay Inc.: Our mission is to promote interaction between the individuals in Findlay through events and activities so that we may build a safe and supportive place for our LGBT community. 

LIMA 

PFLAG Lima: To promote the health and well-being of LGBT people, their families and friends through support, education and advocacy. 

MANSFIELD 

Mansfield Gay Pride AssociationMansfield Gay Pride Association was founded with the primary goal of creating an annual festival celebrating LGBT Pride. 

MEDINA 

OutSupport: Our mission is to promote the health and well-being of LGBTQ people and their families and friends through support, education and advocacy. We are here to enlighten the public, to end discrimination and to secure equal rights. 

SPRINGFIELD 

Equality Springfield: Advocates for fair treatment and equal opportunity for LGBT citizens in Springfield. 

Springfield PrideSpringfield Pride’s purpose is to produce a yearly LGBTQ Pride Festival. Springfield Pride’s mission is to educate and maintain a sense of pride, community 

TOLEDO  

Equality Toledo: Works to eliminate discrimination in our region on the basis of sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression through education, activism and other anti-defamation efforts. 

Harvey House: To ensure all youth, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity, have a safe environment for socialization, education, and resources 

Holiday With Heart Charity Gayla: To raise funds for charities that provide direct assistance to the LGBT community of Greater Toledo. 

PFLAG Toledo: To promote the health and well-being of LGBT people, their families and friends through support, education and advocacy. 

Promise House Project: The Promise House Project works to promote and advance the dignity and safety of all housing insecure and homeless youth. With a focus on the LGBTQ community through barrier free, direct service, advocacy, service infrastructure and housing support. 

Toledo Area LGBT Historical Archives: Collecting and archiving oral history, pictures, magazines, memorabilia, etc., from the people, places, events, businesses and groups that make up the Toledo Area LGBT community to better educate.
