The list of 10 songs to know for National Coming Out Day is a mix of Ohio and national artists.
The highlights of this week’s list are two Ohio artists: Trey Pearson of Columbus and Cleveland native Anne E. DeChant. Both artists will perform Thursday at Come Out to Vote, a party scheduled for 3 p.m.-6 p.m. outside the Franklin County Board of Elections early voting center at 1700 Morse Road in Columbus.
Pearson emerged as a Christian lead singer who came out in 2016 and grew into being himself. DeChant is a singer/songwriter with country roots.
A few notable additions include MNEK, a popular and prolific songwriter who recently released his first full-length record, and the hip hop band, Brockhampton, which recently debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard album charts.
Shamir also made the list. Shamir is an artist who made a big splash a few years ago as a dance artist and then emerged with a new, rough sound being true to who he is and who he has become.
Country singer Brandon Stansell also made the list with a recent remix of “For You.”
Prizm has an upcoming interview with Stansell discussing his new video and music.
