The Columbus Museum of Art will host this year’s Art for Life gala on Saturday, Sept. 15. Since 1989, the biennial event has raised about $3 million for HIV/AIDS medical care, prevention, education, testing and advocacy services.
The fundraiser includes live and silent auctions of works by artists from Ohio and around the world. In 2016, Art for Life raised more than $600,000 for Equitas Health.
This year’s auctions will feature two silkscreen prints by Keith Haring that are valued at $24,000 each. They’ve been donated to Art for Life by Dr. Bob Brandt Jr., of Dayton.
